Pursuing Justice For Accident Victims In Indiana

2 killed, 2 injured in tragic crash on Interstate 70

Imagine driving your family to a new home or taking a trip to a vacation spot. You want everything to go well, and instead of bypassing a construction zone, you decide to make your way through it. Traffic seems light today, but there is an ever-growing number of semi-trucks passing your vehicle.

When you're traveling in a construction zone, riding near large vehicles can become dangerous. The drivers must pay attention closely to prevent accidents. They can't stop as fast as you can, so if they follow too closely behind, they could cause a serious or fatal accident. That's what happened in this case involving a family from Beavercreek, Ohio.

Two children from Ohio were killed after being involved in an accident in Indiana. According to the news from July 19, the crash took the lives of a 1-year-old child along with a 5-year-old sibling when their parent's van was struck from behind.

The children's mother was driving them on Interstate 70 just 60 miles southwest of Indianapolis when the crash occurred. She had slowed down for a highway construction zone when she was struck from behind.

The 62-year-old semi-truck driver who hit the vehicle is from Canada. After hitting the vehicle, he went on to strike another semitrailer. The news did not report if he or the other driver were harmed in the crash.

The children's mother, 33, and their 3-year-old sibling are both being treated in Indianapolis for their injuries. They are expected to survive the incident.

This was a preventable crash. If you're hurt in one that is similar, you have a right to pursue a legal claim.
