Pursuing Justice For Accident Victims In Indiana

67-year-old man dies after pileup crash in Brownsburg

Multiple-vehicle accidents are some of the most dangerous. When one vehicle is struck, there's only one impact, but with multiple vehicles, there's a potential for multiple impacts that hurt the individuals inside their vehicles. This can result in catastrophic injuries and death.

Take, for example, this case out of Brownsburg, Indiana. A seven-vehicle crash resulted in one person's death at the intersection of 56th Street and Ronald Reagan Parkway.

The 67-year-old victim was allegedly hit from behind in his vehicle. The police haven't revealed the cause of death and are still investigating what caused the collision.

By the time the collision came to an end, seven vehicles were involved. While the report didn't describe the state of the vehicles, several people were hurt. Of the people involved, two suffered from injuries that required transportation to the hospital. Other injuries were reportedly minor.

The driver who allegedly caused the pileup stayed at the scene. The drive submitted a blood test, but the police have not reported if he or she appeared intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Crashes like this one don't have to happen. Pileup crashes, particularly those involving a rear-end collision, may be caused by driver inattention, distractions, falling asleep behind the wheel, intoxication or other factors. It's important for victims to be heard and to have a right to seek compensation from the people responsible for their injuries. Catastrophic injuries such as broken spines or head trauma may require long-term care, so individuals need to know that they have the financial support and justice they deserve for what they've gone through during this collision.
