Pursuing Justice For Accident Victims In Indiana

Most dangerous roads in Indianapolis

Indianapolis is by far the most populated city in the entire state. Numerous car accidents occur every day in the city, particularly during the holiday season at the end of the year.

While traffic collisions can happen anywhere, research has found that they are more likely to occur in certain intersections. Whether you have lived in Indianapolis your entire life or are a tourist, here are some intersections to watch out for:

38th Street and High School Road

The primary reason why this area is dangerous is due to the fact that there is traffic heading toward and leaving I-465. Additionally, High School Road features five lanes of traffic, which can be challenging to navigate if the lines begin to fade. In this area, people need to watch out for pedestrians. Only a couple crosswalks for pedestrians exist, so many people decide to jaywalk.

86th Street and Keystone Crossing

This area becomes congested easily due to the presence of the Fashion Mall at Keystone, as well as the numerous restaurants, shop and hotels people frequent. Tourists not used to the intersections and traffic come to visit Indianapolis and tend to stay around this area. Additionally, the mall only has two lanes of traffic heading in with five lanes going out.

Stop 11 Road and Madison Avenue

This intersection becomes congested easily due to there being drug stores and gas stations on every corner. It is not always easy for people to get out of these lots, and three sides lack crosswalks.

Shadeland Avenue and 21st Street

This is another area that has a high density of restaurants and hotels. Numerous opportunities for a collision to occur exist in this intersection because Shadeland Avenue has three lanes of traffic on both sides while 21st Street has four lanes going both ways.
